At STARS we provide a bespoke day service supporting adults aged 18+ with additional needs/disabilities. We target age appropriate needs to include education, life skills and socialising through our structured timetable. We feel keeping our timetable consistent helps with familiarity and routine.
We strive to support the adults that we care for and work with, to achieve their full potential in life and to become as independant as they can, regardless of how complex their needs/disabilities may be. Our staff ratio is 1:3 and we offer a higher support of 1:1 if required.
All adults are individuals and it is important for us to meet personal requirements. We offer learning through teaching academic skills, physical activities, life skills, drama, cookery and healthy living. We respect religious and cultural beliefs, physical needs and emotional and social growth; enabling all adults within our care to become confident and contribute to society.
Our mission: "At STARS (Service Teaching Adults Realistic Skills) our mission is to build confidence and self esteem in adults with disabilities / additional needs to enable them to reach their full potential in life".
You can attend STARS up to 5 days a week, all year round. We run Monday-Friday, 52 weeks of the year from 09:30am - 15:30pm.
